Auckland-born Arthur Loo has been in practice as a solicitor since 1977.
Arthur is also the Chairperson for the Foundation for Alcohol and Drug Education (FADE), a trustee for the Koru Care Charitable Trust and for the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation NZ. Arthur received the New Zealand Commemorative Medal in 1990 and his community service also includes being the current Deputy Chairman of the Auckland Chinese Community Centre.
Jayne Kiely's sporting career saw her represent New Zealand in the 1986 and 1990 Commonwealth Games for the long jump. In 1991 she competed in the World Track and Field Championships in Tokyo and in the Indoor World Track and Field Championships in Seville, Spain.
Since then Jayne has worked in radio and television and her television career includes a spot on 'Mountain Dew on the Edge', host of 'The Weddings Show', and more recently the host of 'Mitre 10 Dream Show'.
Jayne is married with two sons. Her interests include skiing, athletics, tennis and enjoying grassroots sport with her sons, as well as interior design.
This is Jayne's first Trustee appointment and she brings with her enthusiasm and passion for community based projects involving young people.
Frank Bunce is well-known for his international rugby career, playing for both Western Samoa and New Zealand. After an All Black career spanning 6 years, Frank has continued to be involved in sport with coaching and sporting commentary.
Frank was born in Auckland and educated at Mangere College. Frank has a particular interest in supporting youth and developed this further as a Vodafone World of Difference recipient in 2008 where he assisted the Manukau Community Foundation to bridge the gap between private donors and youth development programmes in South Auckland.
Frank has been involved with many and varied charities over the last decade including supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities and taking to the ring in three Fight for Life Charity Boxing events to support the prevention of youth suicide.
In 2009, Frank also created the Frank Bunce Foundation to support community projects, initiatives and interventions that help children and young people realize their full potential.
Peter Cullinane was appointed as a Director of SKYCITY Entertainment Group in March 2008. Peter has led the development of some of New Zealand’s most iconic brands, applying strategic and creative thinking both locally and internationally, which led to his appointment as Chief Operating Officer, Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide. Since returning to New Zealand and establishing Assignment Group, Peter has specialised in strategic advice to a wide range of New Zealand and international clients. He is director of STW Communications Group Ltd, Australasia’s largest marketing communication groups and Chair of Antipodes Water Company.
Vivien Sutherland Bridgwater has held the position of General Manager, University Relations Division, at AUT University (Auckland University of Technology) since 2000. In this role she has built the AUT brand into a strong and contemporary player in the New Zealand and international market. Underpinning the brand's success is Vivien's vision of an integrated approach to marketing, student recruitment and student services. Vivien has created a model unlike any other university, breaking down silos and enabling those areas who create the brand promise for students to work synergistically with those who deliver on it.
She is also passionate about opportunity and advocacy for student groups traditionally under-represented in the university sector, such as Maori and Pasifika, and has led a number of innovative initiatives to help these groups gain access to university. Her latest major project is leading the establishment of AUT's new Manukau campus - the first university campus in South Auckland, and one that will provide opportunities for a fast-growing and ethnically diverse young population.
With a broad media background, the mother of three has worked in film, television and radio in a range of roles. These include previously being a board member of Television New Zealand and co-founder and manager of the very successful Mai FM88.6. She has also specialised in the area of cross-cultural communications and worked as a consultant with Saatchi and Saatchi Wellington for both corporate and government clients. Vivien is of Ngati Whatua descent and has a strong commitment to Maori, education and youth.
