Host Responsibility

Smoking Policy

In December 2004, amendments were made to the Smokefree Environments Amendment Act 2003 and smoking has been banned in all indoor spaces in New Zealand hospitality venues.  This means people can no longer smoke inside places such as bars, gaming venues, clubs and restaurants.

At SKYCITY Auckland, all our bars and gaming venues are smokefree and this includes car parks.
Guest rooms within the SKYCITY Hotel and the SKYCITY Grand Hotel are not affected by this legislation, however rooms are available that are smokefree.

Smoking customers are still welcome at SKYCITY and we have eleven outdoor balconies especially for smokers.
