Al is the master mind behind the highly successful Depot and Federal Delicatessen in Federal Street Auckland, plus the bagel factory Best Ugly Bagels. He is also the author of popular cook books such as 'Go Fish: Recipes and Stories from the New Zealand Coast' and 'Stoked: Cooking with Fire' and has presented a number of culinary television shows.
Al spends his time outside of the restaurant writing, presenting, cooking for events and demonstrations, and pursuing his passion for fishing.
