From 186 metres above street level, enjoy panoramic 360° views stretching up to 80 kilometres in every direction — spot the city's 53 volcanoes, the Hauraki Gulf islands, and landmarks across Tāmaki Makaurau.
Your admission includes access to all three observation levels: the Main Observation Level (186m), The Lookout (192m), and the Sky Deck (220m). Tickets are valid for six months from purchase. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Sky Tower's 156 external LED lights (upgraded in late 2019) are illuminated to support charities, mark national occasions, and express solidarity with communities. SkyCity reviews all lighting requests against our lighting policy. To submit a request fill out this form:
Volcanic Auckland is the Sky Tower's signature school education programme — teacher-created and curriculum-aligned for Year 4–6 students. Set 220 metres above Auckland in the highest classroom in New Zealand, students explore the city's volcanic landscape, history, and geography through a mix of Social Studies, Science, Drama, and English activities. The session lasts approximately 1.5 hours and includes a 15-minute introduction, time on the observation levels, and a guided descent. All resources and prizes are provided — no preparation required. The Sky Tower has three hireable spaces: the Main Observation Area at 186 metres (Level 51), The Lookout at 192 metres (Level 53), and the Sky Deck at 220 metres (Level 60). Yes, if you have sufficient SHOW by SkyCity Points or a car parking credit accrued on your card. Your SHOW by SkyCity Rewards card can be swiped at the parking machines to exit. Please note, some car parking credits are required to be activated at a SHOW by SkyCity Rewards Kiosk before redemption.
The maximum height for vehicles in SkyCity Main Site car park is 2.1 metres and in SkyCity Grand Hotel car park is 2.1 metres.
