Sitting 50 stories up the Sky Tower, SkyBar is an opulent destination for an innovative cocktail and beverage experience.

SkyBar's interior is designed to echo the Tāmaki Makaurau landscape and sparkling Waitematā harbour, with forest green sofas and cushions, dark textured wood walls and mirrored panels. The brass and gold textile accents reflect the twinkling city lights at night, an event space that is sure to impress.

Below is further information for your group booking. Please note we cannot hold any space for your booking until we receive a signed contract and initial instalment payment.

Exclusive use of venue:

  • Maximum 80 guests seated (using existing furniture) or 100 guests standing.
  • Any 2.5 hour time slot prior to 5pm, requires a minimum food and beverage spend of $6,000
  • 5pm to 7.30pm, requires a minimum food and beverage spend of $6,000
  • 7.30pm to 10pm, requires a minimum food and beverage spend of $6,000
  • All evening, requires a minimum food and beverage spend of $10,000

  • Drinks will be charged on consumption. A cash bar can also be organised.

SkyCity organises all furniture, equipment, and linen for this space. Any audio-visual requirements must be organised through your dedicated Event Planning Executive.

Terms & Conditions

R18 Venue. Access to the venue outside the hours mentioned is subject to availability and a per hour hourly fee will be applicable. The public Sky Tower lifts are used by other restaurants and venues at the Sky Tower. SkyCity is responsible for set up of this venue and additional labour costs if applicable are outlined in the additional charges section of this proposal. Any security requirements in relation to the service of alcohol and host responsibility is managed by SkyCity. Guest access to the SkyBar within the Sky Tower is included in the event pricing and via the public Sky Tower lifts. A host will be required on the ground/entrance level to manage guest attendance and assist guests with access to this venue. The host will be an additional $38.00 per hour and will be required for the duration of your event as well as 1 hour prior to your event and 30 minutes following the conclusion time of your event. 15% surcharge on public holidays. SkyBar will be closed on Christmas Day. The above pricing is valid until 31st March 2024.
